We are open from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.\u00a0 We are usually open between noon and 1:00 (unless only one employee is on\u00a0 duty).<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I open a utility account?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The customer must apply in person at the Village Hall.\u00a0 Two forms of identification are required \u2013 one being valid driver\u2019s\u00a0 license or State issued identification card.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are deposits required to open a utility account?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes.\u00a0 Gas deposit\u00a0 is $100 and water deposit is $50.\u00a0 Deposits are refunded in three years or when you discontinue service with us. \u00a0There is also a $10 turn-on fee for water service and a $20 turn-on fee for gas.<\/span><\/p>\n

How soon can I have utilities connected after I have\u00a0 completed application and paid deposit?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Services can usually be turned on or transferred the same day\u00a0 but no later than 4:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Peach Festival, sponsored by the Cobden Lions Club, is the first Friday and Saturday in August.\u00a0 The parade is held on Saturday afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n
